Dr Beryl Lin is a PhD student and endocrinology registrar in the Diabetes and Population Health team at the Baker Institute. She completed her medical degree at UNSW, graduating with the Foundation Year Graduates Medal, and holds a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) from Sydney University and a Master of Global Health Science and Epidemiology from Oxford University. Her PhD will leverage large Australian and international health datasets to understand the real-world impact, uptake and equity of newer diabetes medications that protect the heart and kidneys. She is passionate about bridging the gap between clinical evidence and practice, helping ensure that advances in diabetes treatment translate into meaningful improvements at the population level and more equitable and effective care for people living with diabetes.
