Scott Loh is a PhD student in the Translational Cardiology Centre. Under the supervision of Dr Daniel Donner, he is currently investigating the determinants of survival and neurological outcomes in preclinical models of cardiac arrest and resuscitation. Scott aims to deepen our understanding of the pathophysiology of post-cardiac arrest syndrome and identify clinically relevant biomarkers that could enhance resuscitative efforts, neuroprognostication, and therapeutic strategies for more effective management of cardiac arrest patients.

Scott completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) at Monash University in 2024. His honours thesis involved the successful characterisation of a novel preclinical model of cardiac arrest and resuscitation, with key clinical features. This work generated new hypotheses on improving the management of cardiac arrest patients and contributed valuable insights to the field.
