Translational Cardiology Centre
Akshima is a Technical Officer in the Translational Cardiology Centre, actively contributing to preclinical studies focused on cardiovascular research and contributes to bridging the gap between laboratory research and clinical applications.
In addition to her technical role, she is an analyst and plays a key role in echocardiographic analysis, contributing to her team’s research projects as well as collaborations with other groups and labs at the Baker Institute. She is also involved in training and validating echocardiographic assessments for various research teams at the Institute.
