Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute is conducting a study on testing a strategy to identify cancer survivors who have signs of heart failure but no symptoms.
If you have had chemotherapy for cancer, there is a possibility that you may have had some damage to your heart. You may qualify for an important study of cardiac scans to see if any damage has occurred.
Who can participate?
You may be eligible to participate in this clinical study if you:
- are over 40 years old
- have completed cancer treatment at least 5 years ago
- have no history of heart disease.
What's involved?
This study included a blood test, an electrocardiogram (ECG) and a heart ultrasound ('echo'). The results of these tests will be communicated to you.
