Katie completed her Registered Nursing qualification at Royal Melbourne Hospital and then moved to The Alfred Hospital. Shortly after completing her grad year, she moved into ICU, completing her Critical Care Course and gaining her Batchelor of Nursing from Deakin University.

Following 10 years at The Alfred Hospital, where she specialised in general and trauma intensive care, Katie branched out into Clinical Sales and Clinical Support in the corporate sector managing portfolios as a Territory Manager in the fields of Cardiothoracics, T1D and Wound Care. Katie is committed to providing optimal clinical outcomes to patients and works collaboratively with her team to achieve ongoing improved outcomes. Katie joined the DTRG team in 2020 to support and coordinate current research projects in her preferred space of T1D. Her role as project lead is to assist with the implementation of a study from inception to archiving. Katie plans and formulates the requirements for all facets of a study, including participant recruitment, management of GCP within the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework, and compliance.
