I completed my bachelor in Medicine in Medical College of Qingdao University (China) and received 2-year training on cardiac surgery and practice in Cardiology Department in the hospital. I then completed Master in Cardiology in Crimea State Medical University and went back to the hospital and work as a cardiologist, specialised in PCI, hypertension and arrhythmia.
My project aims to investigate the effects of modulating plasmalogen lipids in a mouse model of atherosclerosis and unstable plaques, with the goal of protecting against atherosclerosis and preventing plaque destabilisation. Additionally, I will also explore the relationship between plasmalogen modulation and the immune system in a setting of atherosclerosis to elucidate the mechanistic effects of altering lipid composition of immune cells.
