Dr Lloyd Einsiedel
Dr Lloyd Einsiedel is an infectious diseases physician who has worked in Central Australia for more than ten years and is currently the Executive Director Central Australia. His research interests primarily relate to interactions between the social determinants of health, infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases. Current work includes elucidating the risks posed by chronic infections, such as with the Human T Lymphotropic Virus type 1 (HTLV-1), to the non-communicable diseases. He collaborates with the Pasteur Institute, Paris, Imperial College, London, and the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Tropical Medicine, Lima, Peru.
