Mr Tim Sikora

Tim completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science from Monash University in Clayton, and his Honours year at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research in the Ovarian Cancer Biomarkers laboratory in 2017. He joined the Baker in 2019 and is currently working on a collaboration project with Cambridge University in identifying the role of various genes in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
Tim is experimentally validating molecular targets that arise from polygenic risk score screening as part of the bioinformatics discovery and translation program. He is also a part of the obesity and lipids program, utilising CRISPR/Cas9 technology for genome editing in preclinical models.
